Environmental Preservation

It’s no secret that our ecosystem is suffering as a result of human negligence. CID was originally founded to bring awareness to these environmental issues, specifically on the Caribbean island of Haiti. We planted indigenous trees on the school grounds to support reforestation efforts. Haiti has lost over 80 percent of their forestation in the past two decades. To combat this deforestation, CID houses nurseries, which prepare seedling trees that are planted on the streets and in school yards of Mirebalais, Haiti on a yearly basis.
