About Our Organization

Community Improvement and Development, Inc. (CID) was founded by a group of concerned individuals with professional backgrounds in a variety of disciplines, including education, engineering, finance, mental health and social services. Our team strives to bring about CID's mission to the citizens of New York City and its neighboring communities. In addition to our commitment to the New York area, we are also committed to supporting the island of Haiti. CID's founders are originally from Haiti. Therefore, providing support to this island nation is a must!

The current team that leads CID is a group of individuals who voluntarily give their time to all of CID's initiatives. They each work full time careers and have families yet still manage to devote their time to improve and develop the communities that CID support. Simply put, the CID team loves serving others and is proud to do so on a continuous basis!
